The 1969 Dodge Charger known as “The General Lee” from the popular television series and movie,
“The Dukes of Hazzard,” is commonly named as a favorite “star car” when people are asked, and such lists are compiled. In fact, when you view the Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour website, “The General Lee” is one of the first cars mentioned when promoting their own Picture Car Museum in the associated video.

The 1969 Dodge Charger being offered is backed by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by © Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. confirming this is an official vehicle made for use in the Major Motion Picture production of the 2005 release, “The Dukes of Hazzard,” which starred (to name a few) Johnny Knoxville, Seann William Scott, Jessica Simpson, Burt Reynolds, Willie Nelson and Lynda Carter. The story is set in present day and tracks the escapades of “good ole boy” cousins Bo and Luke Duke. With the help of their eye-catching cousin Daisy and moonshine running Uncle Jessie, they try to save the family farm from being destroyed by Hazzard County’s corrupt Boss Hogg. The “General Lee” frequently plays the lead as the “Duke Boys” elude the authorities in their famed 1969 orange Dodge Charger, keeping them one step ahead of the foolish capers of the small southern town sheriff, Rosco P. Coltrane.

This famous car also has accompanying Department of Motor Vehicle paperwork illustrating prior ownership by Warner Bros. Feature Film Transportation Department. The "General Lee" also comes with its original California title that lists ©Warner Bros. as the cars initial owner. The car also is referenced as “General Lee 21” and “Stunt 21”, and has been used on-screen. The Charger has bucket seats, 383-cid V-8 engine, automatic transmission with a B&M shifter, Auto Meter Sport-Comp Monster tachometer, Grant steering wheel and doors that are hinged with glass windows. Stunt-based equipment includes a rollcage, fuel cell, left and right line-lock braking and a second brake. The glovebox cover is signed by the majority of the television series’ leading actors including Tom Wopat (Luke), John Schneider (Bo), Catherine Bach (Daisy), James Best (Rosco P. Coltrane), Ben Jones (Cooter), Sonny Shroyer (Enos) and Rick Hurst (Cletus).

The owner reports that the car runs and drives excellent, and that he has enjoyed driving the car, when the weather is nice, during his ownership.

This authentic 'General Lee' movie car was featured on a two page photo spread in the November 2011 issue of "Auto Enthusiast" magazine. It is also featured in the text of the seven page article titled "Lights, Camera, Action" by Ken Harper.

This iconic Charger is reported to be one of three released to the public by © Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., offering a rare opportunity for any collector to acquire a real “General Lee.”
