How to replace your Headlight Switch...

Before you replace the headlight Switch you will need to make sure you get the right one for your vehicle cause they come in all different shapes and sizes.

Disconnect the negative cable from your battery 

(In case of airbags: wait 5 to 10 minutes to allow the capacitors for the airbags to discharge)

Remove the bolts / screws and take off the dashpanel, if nessesary.

Remove any  screws around the switch, or pry the retaining ring that holds the switch in place away from the dash.

Remove the wire plugs / connector, taking care not to bend any contacts.

Pull the light switch into the on position.

Press the headlight case button at the bottom ( see image ) 

Remove the switch... Pulling the switch knob and pin out of the case.

Slide the housing and switch back out of the dash.

Insert the new car headlight switch into the housing / dash 

( replace the bezel and shaft nut if necessary )

Attach the wire plugs, again taking care not to bend any contacts.

Put back any trim and mounting screws

Reconnect the negative battery wire. 

Test the switch and the low and high beams.
