Lots of steel in that car. They really built them tough back then. Check out the back seat mooring frame work. This looks it might be a Cadillac body being assembled. Did you notice this model has no "B" pillar? Well, at least on the side we are looking through. Maybe not installed yet.
WOW! I just found a picture of a '49 Caddy and the roof line and door opening seem to match up perfectly with the picture here. America was still building tanks from the war effort. No wonder why the Mob (Mafia) liked these cars.
