Ghostbusters... Ecto-1
The Ecto-1 was the vehicle that the Ghostbusters used to travel throughout New York City busting ghosts and other entities.
The vehicle used for the Ecto-1 was a 1959 Cadillac professional chassis, built by the Miller-Meteor company. The ambulance/hearse combination was the end loader variety. The vehicle had quite a unique character, it also had enough room in it to store Proton Packs for all of the crew, along with Ecto Goggles', P.K.E. Meters, and a slew of Traps.
Midweek Music - Terraplane Blues
Terraplane
Blues is a blues song recorded in 1936 in San Antonio, Texas by bluesman
Robert Johnson. "Terraplane Blues" is among only a handful of songs that were released during Johnson's lifetime, and it became a moderate regional hit, selling 5,000 copies.
The guitar licks and riffs in Terraplane Blues are very similar to those used in Cross Road Blues. The Terraplane Blues song is also performed by: Eric Clapton, Foghat, John Lee Hooker

It's a
big 1 tonner with the 122" wheelbase

The truck
was restored in the states a few years ago
Mechanically
it's fully sorted and will go anywhere,
the engine and the gearbox were rebuilt,
a Mallory
sissy with electronic ignition other than that the motor is stock, but runs
sweet.
The front
wheels have been swapped from the original split rims
to 40's ford steels,it's
also been lowered significantly,

This weeks... Interior work
So here they are,.. the old Willy's Jeep bench seats I'd scored this week.
First I'd cut up the frame as they where not fitting.
The upholstery was bad, first i'd thought to let them be reupholstered but then I'd didn''t like the idea of a plain black bench seat and I'd wanted to keep the truck "Rat Rod" stylisch and like to do as much of the work myself. So went to the local miller and got me some coffee bean bags and went sewing myself, By hand...old school style.
