Chopped Top Thursday - 1946 Dodge




I posted a pic of this 1946 Dodge D-24 Bizz Coupe before...
But at that time it wasnt fully painted. Partially Bare Metal.
Original three window coupe with some nice custom mods
Chopped top...Front: 3 1/2" Rear: 4". rear window laid down.
Rain gutters retained to keep "factory" look
Custom hand made grill. Handmade skirts.
Narrowed 49 Chevy front & rear bumper,
Brake light shaved from decklid, Smoothed rockers,
Nosed Hood, Original 49 Chevy tail lights, Unity spotlights.
S-10 Front clip stepped firewall 4".
Ford Explorer Rear end with Chassis Engineering 3" de-arched leaves relocated to the inside of the frame. Frame is notched for clearance, 2" block for adjustment.
1984' Chevy 305 V8, Edelbrock carb, HEI dist,
Custom Air Cleaner. TH350 turbo automatic trans,
Tires are Coker 6.00-16 Firestones on original '46 rims.

  1. My Aunt and Uncle from New Jersey had one of these odd looking MoPar's. It was the Plymouth version of the businessman's coupe. I never realized how big these cars were. A lot of steel in these things. Look at the size of that trunk. One could go camping back there.

  2. Indeed thje truncks on these are big, guess the businessmans need to haul a lot of sale stuff back in the days ;-) still a supercool model and good idea... coupes for bizz ;-)
