Chopped Top Thursday

This chopped and customized 1950 Mercury was built by Steve’s Auto Restorations, Portland, Oregon.
The roof was chopped several inches and converted to B pillarless hard top. Powered by a Flathead Ford V-8 engine, Offenhauser intake and heads.
Three Stromberg 97 carbs, Ford C4 automatic transmission.
Candy Apple Red Paint with White interior
Tuck and Roll interior.
1957 Oldsmobile steering wheel.
Cadillac “sombrero” hubcaps with wide whitewall tires.
The front... 1954 Chevrolet grille with extra dental work sits neatly within the front grille opening, along with the smoothed bodywork, frenched headlights, tail lights and front fender antennas, fender skirt trim and Lakester side pipes makes this an amazingly looking Lead Sled Kustom...

  1. Another really FINE looking Mercury. And those old flat head, side valve V8's are just beautiful pieces of art. No doubt Steve's Auto Restorations mirrors the Hirohata, Barris built Merc. But honestly this one is in a class of its own. Simply beautiful.
